The Coach House, renovation poject

A deep retrofit of a traditional Cotswold property, carefully reimagined to accommodate contemporary living while respecting its historic character. The original roof was raised to create additional bedrooms, and the ground floor was thoughtfully reordered, including a new staircase and reconfigured openings. An extension to the front of the house creates a stronger connection with the garden and brings additional daylight into the interior.

Throughout the project, comprehensive thermal efficiency upgrades were implemented, along with solar panels and an electric car charging point. Negotiations with planning and conservation officers were complex, requiring a sensitive approach to design and detailing to achieve approval in this sensitive context.
